- No User Account or Registration: You are not required to create an account, log in, or provide your name, phone number, or email address to use the App.
- No Server Database: We do not operate cloud servers that sync or receive your tracked work sessions, hourly rates, client names, project names, or financial calculations.
- No Tracking or Profiling: We do not track your location, your behavioral app navigation, or your identity across websites or other mobile apps.
- No Advertising SDKs: The App does not contain third-party ad networks or marketing trackers that monitor your activity.
3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
Any information you create, enter, or record within the App is stored exclusively in your device's private local application sandbox using SQLite / Room Database:
- Project Details: Project names, client names, default currencies, hourly rates, and optional notes entered by you.
- Work Sessions & Logs: Start and end timestamps, session duration, billable amounts, and notes associated with each completed timer session.
- Application Preferences: Visual theme preference (System, Light, Dark) and widget configuration settings.
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export or back up your records.
4. Device Permissions & Why They Are Needed
Live Billable Tracker requests only minimal, strictly essential Android system permissions required to provide core time tracking and widget functionality:

| INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE | Used strictly to display standard legal documents (this Privacy Policy and Terms of Service) within the in-app viewer and to allow opening developer support links and Google Play Store pages. No personal or work tracking data is ever transmitted over the network. |
5. Data Backup, Export & Portability
You have 100% control and ownership over your data:
- Full Offline Backup & Restore (.lbt): You can generate an encrypted/structured offline backup file (
.lbt) directly to your device's Downloads directory. You can transfer this file to any new device and restore your entire project and session history at any time. - CSV & PDF Export: You can export your session logs directly to CSV spreadsheet format or formatted PDF reports saved into your local storage for your personal invoicing, record keeping, and client accounting.
- Security of Exported Files: Because exported files are saved to your device's local Downloads folder, you are responsible for maintaining the security of these files and deciding how and where to share them.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Because all data is stored exclusively on your device:
- Your data remains on your device for as long as you keep the App installed.
- Permanent Deletion: You can delete individual projects or work sessions at any time within the App. Clearing the App data via Android Settings (
Settings > Apps > Live Billable Tracker > Storage > Clear Data) or uninstalling the App will immediately and permanently erase all locally stored data. - Since we have no access to your data, we cannot recover data deleted in this manner unless you have created a
.lbtbackup file.

The App may contain links to external web resources, such as:

When you click external links that open third-party platforms (such as the Google Play Store or web browsers), their respective privacy policies and terms apply. We encourage you to review their policies.

Live Billable Tracker is designed for working professionals and freelancers. It does not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union). Because no personal information is collected by our systems, we comply with COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act) and international child privacy standards.
9. Compliance with GDPR & CCPA
Under GDPR (European Union): Because the application does not process, store, or transmit personal data on external servers, the App operates on a decentralized, privacy-first model. Your rights to access, rectification, erasure, and data portability are fully exercised directly on your device via built-in export and deletion features.
Under CCPA (California): We do not sell, rent, or disclose personal information of any consumer to third parties for monetary or commercial consideration.
