Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 14, 2026

Welcome to Pixel Pilot ("we", "our", or "the Application"), developed by Yash Rayjada. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data and digital media. This Privacy Policy explains how our application collects, uses, handles, and protects your information across supported operating platforms, including Windows.

Core Privacy Principle: Pixel Pilot is engineered from the ground up with a strict privacy-first architecture. All photo and image manipulation operations (converting, resizing, cropping, compressing, photo enhancement, color filtering, watermarking, ICO creation, and local AI background removal) are executed entirely offline, locally on your PC hardware. Your photos, graphics, creative assets, and documents are never transmitted over the internet, uploaded to remote servers, or accessed by us.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect (Your Image & Photo Data)

Because Pixel Pilot operates as a purely client-side offline utility, we do not collect, process, host, or transfer:

  • The contents, pixel bitmaps, or metadata of any image files you open, edit, convert, or export.
  • Photos processed through our AI Background Remover or AI Super Resolution models (all neural inference happens strictly on your local CPU/GPU using on-device models).
  • Custom watermarks, copyright logos, text overlays, or typography entered into the Watermark Studio.
  • EXIF, IPTC, or GPS location tags extracted or stripped using the Metadata Cleaner.
  • Local folder structures, file paths, or file names on your storage drives.

2. Information We Collect Automatically (Diagnostics & Analytics)

To ensure application stability, diagnose crashes, and optimize image engine performance, Pixel Pilot may collect non-personally identifiable diagnostic and telemetry data through standard industry tools:

  • Device & OS Specifications: Operating system build (Windows 10/11 build number), CPU architecture (x64/ARM64), system language, and display scaling factors.
  • Crash & Performance Reports: Stack traces and error logs generated during an unhandled exception to help identify and fix software bugs.
  • Anonymous Aggregate Metrics: General feature interaction counters (e.g., total conversions initiated or tool launch frequency) with zero connection to personal identity or image contents.

3. Device Permissions & How They Are Used

Pixel Pilot requests only the minimal system capabilities required to provide high-performance desktop photo editing:

  • File System Access (via System File Pickers & Save Dialogs): Pixel Pilot interacts exclusively with files and directories you explicitly select for input or specify as destination export folders. The application does not scan or index unselected areas of your storage.
  • Internet Capability (internetClient): Used exclusively to communicate with the Microsoft Store licensing API, verify active subscriptions, display in-app legal pages via Edge WebView2, and check for application updates. No user media is ever transmitted over this connection.

4. In-App Purchases, Licensing & Payment Data

Pixel Pilot offers optional PRO upgrade plans (Monthly Subscriptions, Annual Plans, and Lifetime Licenses) through official Microsoft Store in-app purchases.

All financial transactions, payment processing, tax calculation, and billing recurring cycles are managed entirely by Microsoft Corporation via the Microsoft Store.

We do not collect, view, or store credit card numbers, PayPal details, bank information, or billing street addresses. We only receive cryptographically signed license tokens from the Windows Store runtime (Windows.Services.Store) confirming whether a PRO license is active on your device.

5. Local Storage & Preferences

Pixel Pilot saves user preferences and temporary operational cache files locally on your computer:

  • Application configuration settings (such as Dark/Light theme mode, custom export quality settings, and default save locations).
  • Free tool usage counters (tracking the fair-use limit of free operations per tool before prompting for PRO).
  • Recent file list records (stored only on your local disk for quick access, which you can clear at any time from app settings).

6. Third-Party Services & Integrations

We utilize trusted platform APIs and frameworks to ensure seamless operation:

  • Microsoft Corporation (Microsoft Store APIs & WebView2): Used for secure license verification, subscription management, and rendering embedded web legal pages. Microsoft's Privacy Statement is available at https://privacy.microsoft.com/.
  • ONNX Runtime & Local AI Models: Pre-trained neural weights (such as U²-Net) packaged directly within the application binary. Inference is performed strictly in-process with zero remote network calls.

These third parties handle data strictly in compliance with applicable global privacy regulations (including GDPR, CCPA, and COPPA).

7. Data Retention & Deletion

Because we do not store, host, or back up your photos or personal data on remote cloud servers, there is no remote user data to retain or delete. You have complete control over all local data:

  • You can clear recent file histories and temporary caches at any time within the app settings.
  • Uninstalling Pixel Pilot via Windows Settings immediately and completely removes all application files, cache directories, and local preference keys.

8. Children's Privacy

Pixel Pilot is a general-audience creative productivity utility that does not require user registration, account creation, email sign-ups, or social logins. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the European Union).

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to reflect application updates, new features, or statutory regulatory requirements. The latest version will always be accessible within the app and on our website with an updated "Last Updated" date.
