1. Introduction & Core Commitment

Welcome to Resume Pilot ("the Application", "we", "us", or "our"), operated and developed by Yash Rayjada.

Resume Pilot is a dedicated desktop application engineered for corporate hiring teams, talent acquisition consultants, recruiters, and career professionals on Windows 10 and Windows 11. Our mission is to deliver comprehensive, high-precision Applicant Tracking System (ATS) resume analysis, keyword extraction, formatting audits, scoring, and candidate optimization with zero cloud risk.

Privacy by Architecture: Resume Pilot AI is fundamentally designed with an offline-first, zero-cloud data retention architecture. Your resumes, job descriptions, evaluation criteria, and candidate notes remain strictly on your local PC. We do not upload your resumes to remote cloud servers, external AI endpoints, or third-party training data pipelines.

2. Nature of Data & Local Processing

To perform its services, Resume Pilot AI processes various types of content exclusively within your local workstation environment:

  • Resume Documents: Candidate files uploaded in PDF (.pdf) or Microsoft Word (.docx) format. Text extraction and structural parsing occur entirely in-memory using on-device parsing libraries.
  • Candidate Identifying Details: Names, contact numbers, email addresses, LinkedIn profile handles, work experiences, skills, education history, and portfolio URLs contained in your documents are analyzed locally to compute section completeness and contact accuracy scores.
  • Target Job Descriptions: Text, competencies, and qualifications provided for comparative matching against candidate resumes.
  • Analysis Results & ATS Scores: Numerical scores (0–100), rule compliance badges, keyword frequencies, formatting warnings, and improvement recommendations generated by our 150-rule deterministic parsing engine.
  • Local Database (SQLite): Your saved scans, resume versions, custom tags, target positions, and audit history are stored in a private SQLite database residing inside your Windows user application storage folder.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

Because Resume Pilot AI operates as an on-device utility, we uphold strict technical constraints:

  • No Resume Uploads: We never transmit, store, or mirror your uploaded resumes or text extracts on external servers.
  • No Third-Party Data Scraping: Your candidate resumes and proprietary job descriptions are never used to train public Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • No Behavioral Tracking or Advertising Trackers: The application does not contain advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking beacons, fingerprinting scripts, or behavioral profiling tools.
  • No Account Tracking: We do not mandate registration, account creation, passwords, or personal profile setups to scan and audit resumes.

4. Microsoft Store Payments & Licensing

Resume Pilot AI is distributed through the Microsoft Store (Store Product ID: 9PPCTK0TXQPF) and utilizes Microsoft Store In-App Purchase and Subscription APIs.

  • Transaction Security: All financial transactions, billing details, credit card processing, sales tax, currency conversions, and trial activations are handled exclusively and securely by Microsoft Corporation pursuant to the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
  • No Financial Data Storage: Neither YBR Digital nor the Application collects, receives, or has access to your credit card numbers, bank information, or Microsoft billing credentials.
  • License Verification: The Application queries the Windows OS Store API (Windows.Services.Store) on your local PC to confirm whether an active Pro subscription or 7-day free trial license exists. This verification happens between your Windows operating system and Microsoft's Store infrastructure.

5. Local Data Storage, Backup, and RPA Archives

You maintain sole custody and ownership of all resume files and scan artifacts:

  • App Data Location: The SQLite database and local scan caches are maintained in your Windows profile's secure sandboxed app directory (AppData\Local\Packages\... or standard AppData\Local).
  • Backups: The Pro version allows users to generate standalone .rpa (Resume Pilot Archive) backup files or import past archives. These backup archives are written directly to the Windows folder path you select.
  • Data Erasure: You can completely purge all saved scans, history, and application database tables at any time using the "Clear Database" option in the Application Settings, or by uninstalling the application via Windows Settings.

6. Network Connections & External Requests

Under standard operation, Resume Pilot AI operates completely disconnected from the internet. The application may initiate outbound network connections only in the following user-triggered scenarios:

Scenario Destination Purpose
External Documentation / Support https://ybrdigital.in/ Navigating to developer website, product help pages, or submitting an email to support.
Store Subscription Checkout / Management https://account.microsoft.com/services Managing active Microsoft Store billing, canceling recurring subscriptions, or changing payment methods.
Optional Local AI Model Download Official Secure Model Repository Downloading optional offline ONNX weights on first initialization (if not bundled with local MSIX binary).

7. GDPR, CCPA, and Regulatory Compliance

Because Resume Pilot AI operates purely as a local client-side software application and does not transmit personal data to central controllers:

  • General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR - EU/UK): You, the user or hiring organization, remain the sole Data Controller of candidate records loaded into the software. YBR Digital does not act as a Data Processor of your candidate resumes because no personal data is ever transferred to our control.
  • California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA): We do not sell, share, or monetize personal information. No consumer data is collected for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Right of Rectification and Erasure: Users have total real-time control to edit, overwrite, or delete any candidate records, parsed text, or audit reports directly within the application's user interface.

8. Children's Privacy

Resume Pilot AI is a professional productivity and recruiting tool designed for job seekers, recruiters, and enterprise teams. We do not knowingly solicit or collect data from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in applicable jurisdictions).

9. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect new application features, Windows OS enhancements, or regulatory adjustments. When changes occur, the updated policy will be packaged with new version releases or made accessible via our official website. Continued use of Resume Pilot AI following any published update signifies your acknowledgment of the revisions.
