This Privacy Policy details how we handle your information, our on-device processing guarantees, biometric and facial data treatment, third-party services, and subscription practices.
Core Privacy Commitment: YiFace AI - Men is architected as an on-device, privacy-first mobile application. All facial detection, facial landmark analysis, symmetry calculations, and hairstyle recommendations are performed locally on your physical device. We do NOT collect, upload, transmit, or store your personal photos or facial biometrics on any remote server or cloud infrastructure.
1. Information We Do NOT Collect
- Photos & Facial Images: Any selfie, portrait, or gallery photo used in the app is processed in memory locally. Photos are never uploaded to our servers, shared with third parties, or used to train public AI models.
- Facial Biometric Data: The 3D facial landmark geometry (jawline angles, cheekbone points, eye spacing, face length/width ratios) generated during the scan is strictly calculated on-device using offline Google ML Kit Face Mesh detection models. No facial identity vectors or biometric templates are transmitted over the internet.
- Personal Identity Information (PII): We do not require or collect your real name, residential address, telephone number, email address (unless you voluntarily contact developer support), or government identification.
2. Information Stored Locally on Your Device
To deliver an optimal user experience and track grooming progress over time, certain data is saved solely in your device's local sandbox storage:
- Scan History & Results: Computed scores (Facial Harmony Score, Jawline Definition, Symmetry Index), detected face shapes, and timestamped records are saved in your local SQLite database on your device.
- Saved Style Favorites: Curated haircuts, beard styles, and eyewear frame bookmarks chosen by you remain strictly on your local device.
- Preferences & Settings: Onboarding selections (age bracket, grooming priorities), theme mode (Dark/Light/System), and notification preferences are saved via local device SharedPreferences.
3. In-App Purchases, Subscriptions & Premium Plans
YiFace AI - Men offers optional premium features ("YiFace AI PRO") that unlock unlimited face scans, comprehensive harmony reports, detailed anatomical biometrics, and the complete hairstyle and beard styling vault.
Available Premium Plans:
- Weekly Subscription: An auto-renewing weekly billing plan providing full premium access for seven (7) days at a time. It automatically renews at the end of each weekly billing period unless canceled at least 24 hours prior to expiration.
- Lifetime Plan: A one-time purchase granting premium access for the lifetime of the application. "Lifetime" is strictly defined as the operational lifespan during which YiFace AI - Men is developed, maintained, supported, and made available on the Google Play Store, until the app is formally retired, discontinued, or shut down.
- Dynamic App Pricing: Current pricing and promotional rates for both the Weekly Subscription and Lifetime Plan are displayed directly within the application prior to purchase. Prices may vary by country, local taxes, or currency exchange rates and may be adjusted over time at our discretion.
- Secure Payment Processing: All billing, invoicing, and subscription payments are handled exclusively by Google Play In-App Billing. We never have access to, nor do we store, your credit card numbers, debit cards, bank details, or billing addresses. All financial transactions are governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
- Subscription Management: You can manage, review, or cancel your Weekly Subscription at any time through your Google Play account (Google Play Store > Profile Icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions).
4. Third-Party Services and Analytics
To maintain high stability, eliminate bugs, and deliver service updates, YiFace AI - Men integrates trusted industry-standard SDKs:
- Google Play Services (Google LLC): Facilitates in-app updates, in-app reviews, and secure Google Play in-app billing transactions.
- Google Firebase Analytics (Google LLC): Captures anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (e.g., app opens, screens viewed, general onboarding flow progression) to help us understand feature popularity. No personally identifiable or facial data is shared with Firebase Analytics.
- Google Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC): Captures anonymous crash logs, device hardware details, Android OS versions, and stack traces when an error occurs to enable rapid bug fixes.
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Delivers optional notifications, style reminders, and app update announcements. You can turn notifications on or off at any time.
- Google ML Kit (On-Device): Processes computer vision face mesh detection directly on your device CPU/GPU without transmitting image bytes across any network.
5. Device Permissions
YiFace AI - Men may request the following permissions during use:
- Camera (`android.permission.CAMERA`): Required exclusively when you choose to take a real-time portrait scan for face shape analysis. Camera frames are processed in live memory and never recorded or sent off-device.
- Photos / Read Media Images: Required if you choose to select an existing portrait photograph from your gallery for face shape analysis.
- Notifications (`android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS`): Optional permission requested on Android 13+ to send grooming reminders, styling tips, and new feature updates.
You can grant, deny, or revoke these permissions at any time via your device's Settings > Apps > YiFace AI - Men > Permissions.
6. Data Retention, Control & Deletion
Because your scan results, metrics, and photos are saved exclusively on your local device:
- You can delete individual scans or completely purge your scan history at any time from within the app via Settings > Clear All Scan History.
- Uninstalling YiFace AI - Men or clearing app data in your Android system settings immediately and permanently deletes all stored scan records, cached photos, and configuration files.
7. Children's Privacy
YiFace AI - Men is designed for general audiences and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from individuals under 13. If you believe a minor has provided personal information to us, please notify us at yash@ybrdigital.in so that we may promptly remove such data.
8. Information Security
We implement reasonable security practices to safeguard user data. Because the application utilizes an offline-first architecture for face analysis and biometric modeling, user photos and biometric landmarks are naturally shielded from remote server vulnerabilities, man-in-the-middle attacks, and external data breaches.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to revise or update this Privacy Policy as new features, services, or legal obligations emerge. Any updates will be published on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. We advise users to review this page periodically.
